Artist - Robin Hultgren

Photography has been a source of enchantment and wonders for me, for as long as I can remember. When I was twelve, I saved up for my first 35 mm camera - no small feat when I was earning $1.50/hour babysitting! I loved the smell of a fresh roll of film and the sound the shutter made when I pushed it. My most memorable images from that camera are of the underside of my friend's bike as she flew over a jump in a dirt lot - I risked life and limb for my art even then! At 16 I took that camera to France and shot more rolls than I could afford to process.

Photography fell to the back burner through college and after- I felt strongly at the time that I should get a "stable" job to support myself. It wasn't until my son was born in 2004 that I re-discovered my love for creating images that evoked emotion and lifelong memories. When circumstances forced me to leave my job and stay at home with my two children last year, I was thrilled to finally be able to focus on my photography. Some would call my pursuit of all things related to photography an obsession, but I consider it my photographic education.

My passion is to create artistic images that you and your family will treasure for many, many years to come. My goal is to photograph your family in a relaxed, natural way. I will never ask anybody to "say cheese." I want to capture the true spirit and personality of each of my subjects.
